WITYouth internship
Alethos, through its partnership with World Information Transfer, works closely and manages the WITyouth Internship. The Program began in 1993 and has since expanded to an intensive 10-12 week summer program for undergraduate students. Our goal is to support students in their pursuit of understanding multilateral diplomacy, international governance, and combating global information quality efforts.
WIT internship is held at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, with opportunities to visit various delegation houses across New York.
Sample Work Day as a WIT Summer Intern:
9:00 A.M - Arrive to office/UN Headquarters
9:30 A.M - Meet with Intern Coordinator and Receive Schedule for the Day
10:00 A.M, 12:00 P.M. - Attend daily Security Council, General Assembly, and Trusteeship Council meetings
12:00 P.M. - 1:00 P.M - Lunch
1:00 P.M - 3:00 P.M - Draft, create, and edit media to be published across WIT socials
3:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M - Attend evening meetings and meet with intern coordinator to share work
The WIT internship program offers selective stipends if financial need is shown, however due to our NGO status all relocation costs, housing, and daily activities associated with WIT Interns will not be covered.
WIT interns will have the option to gain experience during the summer session (running May–August), or school-year session. For those interning throughout the school year, we expect attendance minimum of one day per week.
