Donor Policy – World Information Transfer
The Alethos Initiative is dedicated to advancing environmental education and combating disinformation worldwide. In support of our mission, we welcome contributions from individuals, corporations, foundations, and other philanthropic entities, provided they align with our values and operational independence.
1. Donor Eligibility
Alethos accepts donations from a wide range of contributors including individuals, corporations, foundations, and government grants, provided the following conditions are met:
- No donations shall be accepted from political parties or entities directly affiliated with political campaigns.
- No donations shall be accepted from foreign governments.
- Alethos reserves the right to reject any donation that may compromise or appear to compromise our integrity, independence, or alignment with our mission.
2. Anonymous Donations
Alethos accepts anonymous donations. While we strive for transparency, we also respect the privacy of donors who choose not to be publicly identified. However, all anonymous donations will still be subject to internal vetting in accordance with our ethical standards.
3. Independence and Donor Influence
Acceptance of a donation does not imply endorsement by WIT of the donor’s views, products, services, or opinions. Donors shall not, under any circumstances, exert influence over the direction, content, or priorities of Alethos’ programs, publications, or partnerships.
4. Use of Donations
All donations will be used to advance the mission of Alethos in environmental education and the fight against disinformation. Restricted (earmarked) donations may be accepted only if the restriction aligns with Alethos’s priorities and has been pre-approved by Alethos’s leadership.
5. Transparency and Reporting
Alethos is committed to transparency and accountability. We publish annual reports and financial summaries that reflect our funding sources and program expenditures. Donor information, unless requested to remain anonymous, may be disclosed as part of this reporting.
This Donor Policy is public and subject to periodic review. By donating to Alethos, donors agree to the terms outlined above.
